Acrylic Abstract Painting Artwork by Jonathan Steele

This is the Abstract Painting section of the JonathanSteeleWorks.com web site.

As covered in the definition, you will not necessarily find art that depicts objects in the real world and will instead find color and form used in non-representational ways.

"He who works with his hands is a laborer.

He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.

He who works with his hands and his had and his heart is an artist."

Francis of Assisi

All abstract art works here will have their bio. A brief prose of their inspiration and how they came to be. All works of art whether abstract or realism, have an inspiration, a motivation and a story. You will find that story here.

The gallery of abstract art paintings you will see here are acrylic paintings on framed canvas. The abstract flower paintings can be found in the abstract impressionism section of the JonahtanSteele-Artwork-Gallery.com web site.

Lets start the tour.

Green Dream is one of my first paintings. It was created using green paint with orange, purple, lavender, and some silver base color shining through. Click on the image to see a larger view in the Abstract Art Painting Gallery.

Faces consists of dozens of faces hidden in the painting.

To help you get started, look in the upper right corner. You will see one or two faces there. One facing to the left. It is a profile and you can see the eye. On the other side is another facing the right. Also a profile, it only has the outline of a face with less detail. It however is on top of a body.

The web picture does not do the painting justice. You will be able to see many more when viewing it in person.

The inspiration for Bubbles lies in fractals and the beauty they provide for our senses.
